Final Major Project: Shoot 7

As my action photographs weren't sharp enough due to my slow shutter speed of 125th I had recently discovered there was a tracking auto focus.

I had my AF.C setting on FPS priority and decided to test out the new settings first with a small objects such as a cuddly toy.
I tried out various focusing methods as first I had my camera on a shutter speed of 100 and used flash as I took single shot images (IMGP6304-5). I then used a slower shutter speed and followed the object with my camera (IMGP6305) I then kept my camera in the same place and on multi shot with a shutter of 100.

I decided to redo the Javelin pictures because last time my shutter speed wasn't fast enough and the person was blurry.
I also wanted to retake my hurdles photographs because they were dangling from the hurdles in my last pictures and I wanted there to be a sense of a person in the shoes so I set them in a few different positions.
I managed to capture some people practising the hurdles.

I then decided to choose the best images which had sharp images of the trainers.

1) A4 Crop:
For this Image I had to copy the trainer and paste it higher above the original shoe to fit into the A4 cropping space. I then used the eraser tool and went around the the shoe.

Final Major Project: Shoot 6

For my next shoot I decided to photograph the high jump as action photographs and the posed photographs of just the trainers.
As it was quite a windy day when I positioned the trainers as I wanted them the wind quickly blew them out of position. I used this to my advantage as I let the wind control the shoes direction as I quickly snapped lots of pictures.

I decided to tie the trainers up onto the bar because I wasn't sure how to position the trainers to look like a human was in the shoes.

I didn't edit many of my images because I took too many that I wasn't pleased with.

I also decided to go back over some images from my second shoot of the high jump and triple jump and resize the image to an A4 crop.

Final Major Project: Shoot 5

I rang up Cleckheaton athletics club and asked to take more photographs, I was able to go and take my photographs as people were practising various activities.
I wanted to retake the javelin action photographs and my new idea of the posed trainers. I hadn't included hurdles within my idea but I decided to try take some but just of the trainers because there wasn't anyone practising the hurdles.
I also decided to photograph and video a new sport which people were practising nearby, the hammer.

Surface blur:
I had to have a surface blur because the smart sharpen had made the skin very sharp and very detailed which when I zoomed in distracted from the trainers.
I originally did the surface blur, on a background copy, before the cloning but when I went to use the clone tool the objects I was trying to edit weren't disappearing so I had to undo the surface blur and use the clone tool before I could use the surface blur.
